Oh, July
Despite the lovely break in the heat from the rain, my brain is on fire. Changes in my schedule because of camp and travel are so much harder on me than I want them to be, and despite my best efforts to remind myself not to over-schedule myself in July, I have over-scheduled myself in July. Le sigh.
In personal news, my husband was laid off from his job today. He works in biotech and his income is how my family stays in housing and food while I make the world a more poetic place. We will be ok, I’m sure of that, but dang - in July?! On the plus side, maybe we can have a couple weeks of family time this summer to put our feet in the lake and eat ice cream (while we stress about money, and politics, and employment - feed two birds with one scone!)
