I wrote this in our last session. I had completely forgotten it about because I, like you, am a sprinting forward person. Now these lines seem extraordinary to me. It would be a great loss if I didn't follow up with them. They deserve my attention. And this is what I take from this last letter--I want to attend to the completion of things. Thank you, Alix. Closure doesn't mean the end. It means treating the things I create with care.
You mean the world, or rather a kind of world that’s always sprouting up green things and wordy juicy poetry things. A wild world. A world not-quite fixed into place.
Recently joined but I love these prompts for transition (life has been full of transitions and thresholds lately!). Glad to share a line, it happens to be a final line too, which feels especially fitting...
Happy birthday, Alix! Thank you, I'm looking forward to working with the prompts today: they really resonated. I set aside a few hours every Sat to write at a cafe. 💚 I think the line I'll go with is "I forgot to be afraid of who I'd be with you."
Hi Alix! Loving this post and prompts so much. Thank you. My line: Like the Screech Owl—I may be small, but my voice is mighty, and I am here to hold hands with anyone who seeks liberation from the shackles of emotional, physical, or psychological entrapment.
The fallout of sinus headache / sinus pressure due to seasonal allergies kept me from participating in the last gathering. I've very much enjoyed getting to know everyone via our Zoom calls and hearing great poetry throughout. Thank you, Alix, for facilitating these Seeds of Poetry!
"oh make me backless like a party dress
make me fluid like the water
encasing my secret body
hurtling toward earth inside a padlocked star"

I just joined but am happy that I can leave a line and become part of the transition:
such peace exists in that existence
so beautiful, Margo! And welcome - there is much to come!

Thank you, Kate. I love your line - may we all be like the screech owl! 🦉

Here's something I wrote from our first session ~
"Step out of your room, the body
that oh, so well, contains and holds you.
Walk the darkened hallways,
steer toward the gray light
of morning. Step out of your room,
into the life that beckons..."
Here is my one line: "my nervous system freezes at the door to change, frozen sold, I seek ways to warm myself"
Thank you Alix for the writing space you create, I always feel, seen, heard, understood, and loved.
I seek new ways to warm myself. Yes ❤️❤️❤️ I love you so, Tanya and am so glad to be traveling with you in this life
I love you so too and honored to travel with you.
Is that where that quote comes from?! I can only hear the song! That I can’t title right now.
closing time!
Love.
Happy birthday, Alix! Thanks for the prompts. I’m planning a big journal writing session today and will definitely use them.
