Thanks for this, Alix. I want the summer to burn away my sadness. That's as far as I got just now. What I think I really want is just one night of summer from my 9th year, the lightning bugs, the dew-slick grass, the red headed cousins come to sing songs on the front porch before bed. And my mother lining us all up in the kitchen on Saturday night, to scrub our heads at the massive sink.
this is great! summer has its own poetry, I like these prompts.
Thanks!! I’d love to see what you do with them
I posted one about strawberry moon and summer before I saw the prompt.
I write about summer alot!
Love the poem and love that you are taking time to be in the real world and in the summer energy. I feel this need so strongly too.
So, I wrote this--https://rebeccacook13.substack.com/p/if-i-say-yes-to-the-june-bugs

Yes ❤️
Goodness you really were tapping into something archetypal with your poem.
Lovely prompts. Beautiful poem! You gave me something to write/think about. If I finish a poem, I’ll tag you!❤️
Thank you! I’d love to see it!
Beautiful promote. Will take them to my writing this week.
LOVED! "Become a creature again."
Gorgeous poem
As you would say during our Zoom gatherings, 'OOOOO -- eeeeee!'
This is a good one Alix. I love the poem and I love the sentiment. And, now, I'm headed outside to soak up some sunshine!!
