Love that Franny Choi poem and this prompt for the full moon. I have a poem about wolves that's been sitting in my drafts for a while so this is an invitation to come back to it. Also, where did you find that artwork? It is stunning!!
Ooh yes! Franny Choi is amazing and I love that you have a wolf poem draft! The artist is Elicia Edijanto (not sure why the caption didn’t save - I need to go back and edit that!)
I think there's a lot more in common between a hunter and a wolf. Are there poet-hunters? Perhaps all the best hunters are poets, in their souls if not on paper. To have something in common with the wolf, it's not enough to just go out into the woods, although that's certainly the first step. You must then know the chase, and mostly, you must spill blood. The wolf and the kill are one, inseparable.
Such a good post! I adore Dr. Pinkola-Estes.
I do toooo
I got to see Allen Ginsburg perform Howl in Ann Arbor in The 90s. It was so cool.
Oh wow! I bet!
